Jim's feedback:
"You open this paper with a comma splice, which is to link two sentences with a comma. You can find examples with an internet search, and that should enable you to fix this problem. You cite “the term electricity,” and in this case, you should place “electricity” in quotation marks. We write “1700s” and not “1700’s.” You then write a sentence (“Throughout …”) that includes a comma splice and mixes past and present tense. Following that is a confusing sentence that again has issues with tense, as things that occurred in 1931 are not in the present tense. You can write “sixty three” or “63,” but not the hyphenated “sixty-three.” Lacking further guidance, you should write out numbers through nine, and write larger numbers in numerals. There is an abrupt break in the first paragraph, with a sentence resuming with a capitalized word in the next paragraph. I do not believe you have defined “DOE.”
The second part of your paper defines terms and different types of hydro-plants. This is confusing and poorly laid out, and it ends for some reason with the address of an organization. You offer much information, and you need to organize it logically and use proper grammar. Start by running a grammar check and making appropriate changes. You should also consider the overall organization of the paper and make it clear and easy to read. This can be difficult at first, but if you continue to do so, you will improve and it will become easier."
