Bridget's feedback:
"Your personal experience with the book is really interesting to read, and presenting it toward the end, after the discussion of the book's content, is a good rhetorical move when it comes to ethos. Some of the body discussion feels a bit inefficient in overall organization and at the local level. For example, because you explain what happened after the book in the first body paragraph (para. 2), the reader is a little lost when you return to the discussion in the next paragraphs. Thinking about how the reader moves through the ideas and how those encounters shape what is emphasized will help craft a more purposeful structure.
Some lower-order concerns impact clarity, including missing quotation marks that make it hard to navigate the use of textual evidence. Similarly, verb tense issues cause some confusion. Proofread to catch these: you want to make sure your reader can concentrate on the ideas, and an error-free essay is the best way to create a distraction-free reading experience."
