We have entered into a society with an indulgence for quick and easy food Today unhealthy food choices have been made too convenient and this is perhaps a response to the increasingly hectic fast paced world of work The nine-to-five work day is no longer the norm Time constraints cheap and abundant fast food and the constant bombardment of media images and advertisements have negatively affected our diets and overall health over the years In todays world there are many single parent families and in most traditional households both of the parents work Parents are now more pressured for time and busy schedules leave little opportunity for preparing nutritious home cooked meals We are no longer on a regular nine to five clock anymore conflicting schedules working two jobs attending meetings and driving the kids to soccer practice can take up a lot of time and energy Picking up a pizza is so much easier especially for a single mother who is assuming the roles of breadwinner and child care provider Even in dual parent families we are seeing fewer stay-at-home mothers whose primary responsibility is to prepare meals for the family Rather both parents are likely to be working one or more jobs leaving little time to cook One has to simply pick up the phone place an order and a delivery comes straight to ones door You look inside and there is a double fudge chocolate cake which you did not order but it automatically comes with your order because it was over twenty dollars It is quick convenient and is probably tasty however it is also probably a poor choice for a healthy diet When making the choice in what to eat price can be a very big attribute If you were to order a hamburger combo from a fast food restaurant such as Wendys your order may come to about three to four dollars Instead you decide you would
