The Fellowship of the Ring by JRR Tolkien Preface Written by Bilbo Bggins The main essence of The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Rings is how good triumphs over evil That all happens with the help of a little hobbit named Frodo It takes immense potency for a diminutive individual to obtain the task of trouncing malevolence and in The Fellowship of the Rings Frodos gallantry directed him in the right direction Throughout the book my nephews courage is conspicuous from beginning to end as he formulates decisions and acts upon them sequentially to eradicate iniquity Te following is a few examples of how my nephew demonstrates his courage I could not resist I am such a proud uncle When I left the ring to Frodo I didnt recognize what great peril I was presenting to him He took upon himself the task of leaving the security of the Shire and going into the wild not knowing whether he will survive He did it in order to ensure safety to what he cares about and not present the innocent with danger Frodo himself makes his opinions clear as he states But in the mean while it seems that I am a danger a danger to all that live near me I cannot keep the Ring and stay here I ought to leave the Shire leave everything and go away I feel that as along as the Shire lies behind safe and comfortable I shall find wandering more bearable But this would mean exile a flight from danger into danger drawing it after me And I suppose I must go alone if I am to do that and save the Shire But I fell very small and very uprooted and well - desperate The Enemy is so strong and terrible Although he recognized that he might not survive he still decided that it was significant it to jeopardize his life
