Jenn's feedback:
"Your paper is off to a great start. A little more time invested into improving several aspects of the paper will significantly increase reading comprehension and the cohesion of your writing. Since you have included a thesis statement, it is clear what the purpose of your essay is. The two aspects of the paper that need the most improvement are the content and organization. To improve the content, I recommend that you evenly elaborate on all new ideas you present. I also suggest that you make sure that you add transition words, phrases, and sentences when moving from one idea to the next to create relationships between the ideas. To improve the organization, both the introduction and the conclusion can benefit from additional work. While your introduction has a thesis statement, it could benefit from adding some more background information. The conclusion is off to an excellent start. My first piece of advice is not to add new information to the conclusion. The second piece of advice is to make sure that the conclusion is used to summarize the main points made in the body of the paper and relate those summaries to the thesis statement. In general, the formatting of your document is good, which is also essential for reading comprehension and cohesion. There are a couple of spacing mishaps at the beginning, and I suggest you make sure there is no extra spacing between paragraphs. Last, a minimal number of writing convention errors are scattered throughout the document. Make sure that you or someone else reviews that paper so that they can give specific feedback about grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure errors."
