Bridget's feedback:
"As you move forward with this draft, I recommend a focus on how you guide the reader through the details of this discussion. Your use of sources is clear, demonstrating ethos and control, and you navigate the historical narrative effectively. The reader relies on cues from you, from the thesis on down to word- and phrase-level signposting , so you will want to be purposeful in how you map things out for the reader. For example, the brief mention of Hollywood toward the end of the introduction suggests a focus on this topic; this, however, is not the case. Revise how you introduce that detail so the reader is clear on how urgent that detail is -- position, wording, etc., can all create effect for the reader.
Similarly, certain wording in the Arthur Miller discussion and the parallels to Salem suggest a narrower focus than the paper ultimately aims for. Again, work with the word choice so the reader can track the various hierarchies of the paper's focus and how each example relates back to the broader thesis."
