Whitney's feedback:
"This sounds like a wonderful experience - I enjoyed reading about it! In order to make this essay stronger, I would recommend restructuring it a bit to focus more on the hike itself and the traditions of Dingle. For example, you said that the men in the pub briefly explained the hike to you, but you didn't pass on that explanation to the reader. Why does the town take part in this hike each month? What does it signify? I'd recommend focusing more on these details and the details of the hike and leave out some of the play-by-play descriptions of your day and your interactions with Will. You did a great job using descriptive words while you were talking about the hike, but a lot of the words are opinion-based (mesmerizing, magical, hypnotizing, loveliest, etc.). While these are a great way to explain your experience, it may be helpful for the reader to have more concrete descriptions so they can picture themselves there more clearly - try to work in more details about what you physically saw and felt. Finally, this could benefit from proofreading, particularly for spelling and word choice. For instance, you used "defiantly" a few times when you meant "definitely," and "hostile" when you meant "hostel." Cleaning these up and checking your grammar and spelling (it's Kilkenny, not Killkenny!) will help make this even better. Overall, this is a great start, and I'd be eager to see it once it's been revised!"
