True Colors Since the beginning of time flowers have voiced human emotions and feelings as well as mans spirituality religion and his love Flowers were associated with several superstitions including love potions and how long a person was going to live or die Not only was the type of flower important when interpreting meanings or superstitions but the color of the flower and the way it was presented or worn played a major part Take for example roses What is the number one way to say I love you especially on Valentines Day Nothing other than a bouquet of beautiful red roses Roses like all flowers are used to symbolize feelings or express thought Each color of a rose has a symbolic meaning and a carefully selected bouquet could speak the softest expression without offence All roses say I love you but each color represents a certain characteristic of love and of thought It could also represent a love for a characteristic you have found in someone you admire -A Red Rose- Need I say anymore than the international flower for love -A Burgundy Rose- Unconscious beauty To the human eye without a bright ray of light the color red will not be in its true form You may think it is red but indeed its a burgundy or a deep hue of red It is a beautiful and common tint that is hardly recognized It gives such a silky and smooth appearance when brought to a persons attention dramatically much like a glass of fine wine or a flowers peddle -Orange or Coral Roses- These two delightful colors represent the emotion of desire Desire is defined by Websters in the following terms A longing for craving yearning passion Whereas the word passion is defined by Websters also as Ardent sexual feelings and desire love -Pink Roses- Grace and gentility gratitude and
