"Well done! This essay demonstrates strong higher- and lower-order concerns, from argumentation and organization on down to writing mechanics. I do spot a few issues that can be cleaned up with a thorough proofread (e.g., awkward usage of "disabling" in the first paragraph; unclear phrasing, possibly due to a typo in "It is not known that..." under "Women as Scribes" -- possibly "if" in lieu of "that"?).

My main note is regarding the absence of a conclusion that helps bring all the sections together once more for the sake of the reader; with some work across the first two paragraphs, I can see the bulk of that second paragraph becoming an efficient conclusion. Also, I question the need to quote the Las Huelgas Codes at such length -- better might be to summarize the proportions or balance of the codex to lead into your point about polyphony following that presentation."
