Should we go to War with Iraq By Chris Norton As most people would agree everyone born into this world has an equal right to fair and just treatment Also every person in this world has an equal right to live and to feel safe However a recent political controversy has erupted over these two issues The controversy centers on the idea of Iraq beginning to build nuclear weapons President Bush fears that Saddam Hussein the leader of Iraq has bad intentions for the use of those nuclear weapons The real controversy however is whether or not it is ethical for President Bush to use force to make sure that Iraq does not create these nuclear weapons Since the 1970s the United States has tried to get all of the countries of the world to agree to the destruction of nuclear weapons Iraq has been the major opponent to this policy More than a dozen countries in the world have nuclear weapons However in 1991 at the end of the Gulf War Iraq agreed to allow weapons inspectors into their country Four years ago due to the fact that Iraq felt the weapons inspectors were being used in espionage against their country Iraq began the process of expelling them from the country I dont feel that it is the time in the wake of terrorist attacks to start another war in the Middle East since we are already attempting to fight terrorism in the same area I think that the United States should stay away from using force and try to end this disagreement in a more humane manner In order for a country to become one of the leading nations in the world these days they must be able to protect themselves against enemy attack The United States for example has many forms of defense One of the ways that the United States is able to prevent people from attacking them is
