Violence is seen everywhere as we all know So it is hard to pick just one aspect of violence for a report I have chosen bank shootings I did this for a few different reasons One would be because Im pretty sure that my subject will not be chosen by anyone else The other reasons are not very important but you have to admit you never hear about bank shootings any more Bank shootings and robbery are not quite as mainstream as Hollywood depicts but they do occur somewhat frequently throughout the US Many new criminals use other more high-tech methods for stealing money Unlike the old west you do not need to walk into a bank waving a gun to get a bag full of money Many criminals use computers to alter transactions and deposit other peoples money into their accounts Some people opt for credit card fraud while others forge checks and money orders Then there are the money counterfeiters who have become so advanced in their techniques the US government had to change how their money was made and how it looked Another reason criminals have become more advanced is that they are able to hide their tracks much easier by staying behind some sort of barrier Being unknown is one of the most important aspects of being a bank robber or criminal for that matter Therefore when a bank robber is discovered it is common for them to take drastic measures such as escaping by any means possible even by shooting another human Some robberies and bank shootings are widely publicized while others are never heard of Usually they go unnoticed by the public A good example of a nationally publicized and televised robbery would be the February 97 North Hollywood bank robbery It was broadcast around the US and many of us saw or heard about the two armor laden criminals wounding 17 people The entire gunbattle was televised from
