"You make some good points about the central role that slavery played in the American Civil War. The issue is a complex one that can be difficult to sum up in a short paper; however, you do present some ideas that need stronger support.

The notion that slavery could not have been abolished without war is an intriguing one. Since other countries have abolished slavery without war, it may be a good idea to point out what made the United States unique in this regard.

There is a fair amount of repetition in this paper that could be addressed by creating an outline that assigns a main idea to each paragraph.

Be sure to proofread thoroughly or, better yet, work with an editor. There are frequent errors, some awkward sentences, and an overall conversational tone. Addressing these issues will strengthen your paper considerably."
