Bridget's feedback:
"This is a solid overview of the events, written in clear prose that delivers the information directly and efficiently to the reader. A thorough proofread should be used to catch and resolve some minor typos and similar errors (e.g., a missing period before the last sentence of para. 2; comma usage with month-day-year dates).
I'd like to check in on the purpose (and your prompt)--how analytical or thesis-driven is this project meant to be? Your first sentence suggests a thesis or overarching claim, but the essay never quite explains why or how Watergate "changed the course of history." Help your reader understand the fallout and impact for a deeper exploration of what happened. If your purpose does not involve this approach, I recommend revising the opening sentence ("an event occurred that shocked the nation" or similar)."
