When first looking at the Dove Soap ad the observer first notices that six curvy women take up most of the page Standing in white bras and underwear the six women reveal their curvy figures to the world with absolutely no shame They gleam with confidence and beauty as they show off their bodies and uncover what the Dove firming cream is capable of doing Not only has Dove firming cream tightened and firmed their figure but it has also brought them confidence as well as allowed them to show the world a different type of beauty A type of beauty that doesnt look like a six-foot one- hundred pound super model but rather a women with a full figure Through Doves photo of the six curvy women they are able to give off the implicit message that if one buys the firming cream for their curvy figure then they will feel just as confident just as beautiful and just as sexy as the women represented Observing the photo one can see that the main focus of the ad is the six women The background of the ad is completely white allowing no distraction to take away from the women Also one notices that not all of the women are predominantly White Hispanic or African American Not only are the races different each of their hairstyles show to be different Though one woman has short blonde hair one also has long brown hair and other variations continue Dove incorporated a mixture of different women for a specific reason which will be further addressed in the following paragraphs of the analysis As stated above the women each stood in a position that revealed each of their figures While three women stood with their imperfect torsos to the audience the other three showed of their curvy legs Although none of the women flaunted their sparkly hot pink bra or underwear but instead wore a simple white bra
