Id like to think the inside of my head is similar to the world Alice gets thrust into in the fable Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll When I close my eyes my imagination takes over filling my mind with magnificent views of vast oceans swimming with strange creatures dense forests with leaves the color of the rainbow and plains of tall green grass swaying side to side as if dancing Every color is vibrant every sound is clear all my senses heighten transporting me into my own little world cut off from reality Books short stories screenplays have all contributed to this vast world inside my head starting from when I was very little JK Rowling wrote a brilliant series Harry Potter and since I can remember I have always felt like it was a big part of my childhood Harrys world suddenly became mine as I was sucked into the crisp printed pages inserting myself into this alternate reality filled with excitement and adventure I am baffled to how she could have come up with such an enchanting world turning her writing into a reality far from my own Creative writing has always been a strong point for me and I have all the great novels out there to thank Since I can remember creating worlds of my own and writing them down on paper so that I could go back and visit them was impulse It became my creative outlet I find that without it my thoughts jumble up inside my head just waiting to burst out like a volcano spewing out molten lava igniting everything around it Writing has become a habit now one very difficult to break I write every day dozens of notebooks litter my room the very old ones safe and sound in the bookshelf waiting to be opened and re-read Others are scattered across my writing desk pages bent scribbled worn with too much love and care
