Frdric Chopin1810-1849 had an important impact on the Romantic generations aesthetic values and sociocultural contexts through his musical works Chopins set work Etude Op25 Published 1837 conveys many stylistic characteristics of the romantic era It is obvious through his music why he has made such impressions He is one of the first composers to treat the Piano as its own instrument and to use each finger to play a role as its own character in the music The purpose of this essay is to discuss how Chopin impacted the romantic periods aesthetics and sociocultural contexts It will also discuss the Chopins use of stylistic characteristic in his music that relate to these aesthetic philosophies The Romantic period began at the end of the French Revolution and spanned over 30 years from 1796 to 1830 It was split into three phases the Early Romantic period Middle Romantic period and the Late Romantic period Stein Chopin was part of the late Romantic period The Romantic period is described as a period of intense emotionalism introspection and self-absorbtion Stein In any piece that is heard from the Romantic period you can automatically hear the amount of emotion that was put into it and also depending on the composers ideals and situations during the time he wrote the music Chopin as mentioned before was one of the first composers to treat the Piano as its own instrument to give it an emotional connection with the audience His first Etude 10 was indeed beautiful but did not acquire as much technicality and genius as his Etude 25 did When comparing these two Etudes there is a definite different in the music Etude 10 does not flow as well as Etude 25 Etude is a romantic idea It appeared in the 19th century as a new idea a short piece in which musical interest is derived almost entirely from a single technical problem A mechanical difficulty directly produces the music its
