Cut by Bob Greene is about a man who was cut from his middle school basketball team Throughout the story he talks about many other men who were cut from their middle school baseball teams And how it help them succeed in life Yes there is an implied thesis by naming other people who were cut and how they took that and made it a big part of their life and tried never to fail again in life Bob Greene uses many different types of writing styles in this story one that he uses the most is word choice throughout the story he talks about a lot of situations and he puts certain words in the mix that helps you to better understand his struggle to deal with being cut from the team Yes the writer is appealing to the descriptive language of sight Bob Greene is giving a lot of emotions and persuasive words that are giving us keen insight to what is around him and what is going on while he is dealing with being cut from the basketball team This essay encourage further thought into what happen the next time he tried out for the basketball team the next year And did he make it Or did he give up after that It gives me many new perspectives on what many people feel about being cut from teams they try-out for The ideas I would like to express in my own essay is struggles I faced in middle school and how they helped me in high school to never give up and always keep trying And that even though you may not get everything you want
