The subject of this exciting book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is about society Society is the world we live in and there are still many mysteries to uncover in society Ray Bradbury tries to communicate his readers that our world is provincial just like the book There is more to our society than we realize Bradburys use of irony dramatically impacts the theme of a provincial society in Fahrenheit 451Ray Bradburys magnificent use of irony intrigues the reader strengthens his theme and opens the readers mind to his message Situational irony is used Do you read any books you burn Bradbury 8 which is later followed by And if there is something here just one little thing out of this whole mess of things Bradbury 67 Situational irony occurs because at first Montag is expected to never touch a book in the story but realistically Montag is desperately searching for information inside the books Using situational irony heavily impacts the books symbolic meaning because by having such a drastic turn of events the books meaning appear more important Having Montag peeking inside the books would never be expected so having Montag searching in books gives them more symbolism and significant The theme is affected because Montag is searching for information telling him that his world may not be as perfect and simple as it seems Montags society can also be called a Dystopian Society a society that looks perfect but inside theres something else lurking Having the situational irony gives the story sudden turns and illustrates Bradburys perspective of society
