The movie Casablanca was about a man named Rick who owned his own caf in Casablanca Morocco He is living there for a while when an old lover from France goes there Her name is Ilsa Ilsa is married to a man named Victor Laszlo when she comes to Casablanca Victor is known for his patriotism He has escaped from German concentration camps twice Victor found some letters that would let him and his wife fly out of Casablanca and go to the US Rick gets a hold of these letters and has to make a decision weather to give them to Victor and Ilsa or to keep them for himself and fly out with Ilsa In the end he decides to give them to Victor and Ilsa This film is hard-boiled because Rick has sort of a moral code that he lives by like the hard boiled heroes do He is in love with a woman that is married He has to make certain decisions about her There is a part where they get really close to each other when they are in his caf He talks about things with her They talk about what happened in Paris when she decided to stay He learns a lot about what happened and realizes what he has to do He used his head on this one to put the pieces together I enjoyed this movie overall I liked the setting The city was very nice looking The caf looked like it was for the upper class people in the city I think that Bogart did a pretty good job playing his part also My favorite scene was probably toward the end when Victor and Ilsa were about to board the plane Rick is holding the gun on Captain Renault He almost shoots him The general from the people that the Captain calls comes over too He picks up the phone and is about to
