The morality is the belief that some things are either good or bad The morality for someone is like a task from God but for some people morality does not mean anything The morality in some cases is establish by surrounding us people In the book called The scarlet Letter written by Nathaniel Hawthorne morality played big role in colonial time in Boston colony Throughout the novel The Scarlet Letter Hawthorne develops the community that is possessing highly desirable to present the reader the way puritans live The author of the book explore the issue of morality and how it held a central place in Puritan life To demonstrate the morality in the Puritan life the Hawthorne uses the main characters Hester Prynne Pearl Roger Chillingworth and Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale In the novel the Hawthorne tells the story in which Hester Prynne commits a crime that is not accepted by the society As a result in judgments of societys moral Hester is committed to wear a scarlet letter A that symbolizes adultery In conclusion Hawthorne is trying to show the reader that the people have grown improper in society but that the Puritan way of life is not appropriate for people In the novel the Hawthorne focused mostly on the main character with are a Hester and Perl However he added side characters with are Chillingworth and Dimmesdale The Pearl who is the daughter of a Hester symbolizes the product of the guilty passion81 between Hester and Dimmesdale The people in the colony call the Pearl a Devils child The Perl is a wild impulsive character that serves as a constant reminder of Hesters sin with for Puritan cultures it symbolize the product of evil The Hester is symbolic to Puritan culture by her action she is a symbol of a fallen women The other main character of the novel is Chillingworth He is a symbol of a cold motive and intellect creative
