In the short story called The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe He does not apply his theory to his practices In this book the author could have put it into more detail like when the narrator pulled the heavy bed over the old man Also when the narrator dismembered the corpse The author emphasis the eye of the old man as being an evil eye The eye of a vulture-a pale blue eye with a film over it Edgar Allan Poe used the eye of the old man as a important symbol to make the meaning clear the narrator wants to kill him because of his eye He also put emphasis on the latch of the old mans door Each night at midnight he wants to kill the old man but the narrator waits for the eighth night The purpose of this story is how the old man evil eye made the narrator kill the old man All the sentences support that effect that someone is going to die The short story The Tell-Tale Heart does not leave you with a feeling of finality The story just ends by the narrator saying I admit the deed-tear up the planks here here -it is the beating of his hideous heart It does not tell you what happens to the narrator after he tells the police Does he go to jail does the narrator get killed The ending of the story does not leave you with the feeling of finality The story does have a basis of truth because a lot of murders kill for no reason Its nothing new for murders to dismembered their victims When Edgar Allen Poe lived this did not happen to often But if he lived today this story would be more believable This kind of situation happens on a regular basis In conclusion if Edgar
