In the Novel To Kill a Mockingbird a young girl named Jean Scout Louise Finch faces many hardships in her life as a child growing up in the 1930s She learns many lessons and experiences many things throughout her young years and it helps her mature as she grows older Just like Scout lessons are learned from mostly everything we do in life good and badOne lesson that made a big difference in my life and helped me mature in a way was If you work hard at something you want you will succeed in getting itI was lazy in my middle school years I never wanted to go outside or stick to any sports because I felt like I could be doing something better What I really wanted was an easy way out of things but it doesnt work that way in life If you really want something you have to work for it no shortcuts or cheats just plain hard work I wanted to be a part of something and when I got to high school the options were plentiful Sports clubs and other activities called for me but the time required for all of it was slightly making me re-think everything I did however succeed at a sport which seemed to be one that probably took up most of my time after all but I didnt quit I kept on with it for the whole season I became a part of the Central regional swim team It was what seemed to be an odd choice for me because it was one of the most time-consuming activities that the school had to offer but amazingly that didnt affect my decisionWhen I was in elementary school my parents used to sign me up for swimming lessons at the ocean county college during the spring and fall The funny part is I absolutely hated it I dreaded every Saturday morning that I had to
