Most towns attempt to convey order to present unity and togetherness Thats how towns gain respect Thats how towns can look dignified But thats not the case with the small Southern California town of Canyon Country Socio-economic division is evident in the urban community which makes it feels more like three towns rather than oneThe Fair Oaks Ranch area of Canyon Country is modern and bursting with commerce Construction on that side of town never ends as every month new housing projects appear promising mansions the likes of which are seen in Marthas Vineyard The two-story houses within that area are carbon copies of one another meant to resemble Spanish and New English architecture Absolutely no flower bushes are in sight to add a cheerful atmosphere but there are plenty of oak trees The streets are clean and lined up with European automobiles In fact the only sound to be heard is a BMW speeding down the street Here neighborhoods are populated by white-collar conservatives who live in fear of property value decreasing They warn their children of the supposed dangers of interacting with racial minorities rather than the easily accessible designer drugs of the local high school Most of the children take heed of their warnings and eventually confide themselves in their homes A barely used playground lies at the heart of this section of town Although the jungle gym it contains is spotless and spacious unpleasant woodchips surround itAbove the hill through Lost Canyon Road are newly constructed shopping centers Floods of people walk towards the parking lots while others rush into the stores Soccer moms toting designer purses can be seen yelling into iPhones as they pack their kids into minivans Toddlers toss dimes and nickels into the crystal clear fountains in front of soon to be opened clothing kiosks Residents boast of the restaurants there primarily the Chipotle and ChilisA pleasant suburbia is found along Via Princessa a comforting mix of
