The book Guns Germs and Steel allows an open mind to how humanity and society has come to be the way it is The book goes through over 13000 years of deep history in every continent and reasoning to back up his theory of how we came to be the way we are which was based on this book This will open our minds to hear Diamonds perspective of human history and how the history led to our society today In Yalis Question of Guns Germs and Steel the author Jared Diamond met a local politician on the tropical island of New Guinea by the name of Yali in July 1972 while discussing about the prompt pace of political developments at the moment Yali then told Jared of Papua that New Guinea which was the current name of Yalis nation was at that time still administered by Australia as a mandate of the United Nations Papua New Guinea is an island to the southeast of Eurasia remaining near the Philippines and just north of Australia The question then Yali asked Diamond Why is it that you white people developed so much cargo and brought it to New Guinea but we black people had little cargo of our own This question was the question that struck Diamond and was difficult for him for him to answer but gave him a reason to write this book to answer Yalis question There are many reasons why Indians in the US as well as other area of the Americas and other people have not been able to fight back against conquerors that invaded
