Nuclear family is now become more popular in our life besides the number of extended family is coming down Some people think the reason is that extended family has many disadvantages But just as the coin has two sides living in a house with many generations has brought both benefits and drawbacks to our lives In many case if people live in an extended family they will have many benefits especially when they have some children Children would be nurtured very carefully in the hand of grandmother when someone in family have to goes on business Nowadays relationship between people in other generation is not good though they are the same blood Living in extended family will slows down the generation gaps make younger member get on well with older ones Its also help people understand what the older thinks how to negotiate with them and they can apply this when they meet older people in social lifeIn contrast living with many generations together has some drawbacks Firstly its difficult to teach your offspring when you and your parents have different viewpoints Your children will get on well only with you or your parents Secondly it will cost you more expenses when you live with extended family than live with nuclear family You will have less money to raise your children buy some new things and so on Thirdly living in a big family may leads to some serious arguments and if the problems are not solved the relationship between members may become terribleIn conclusion I want to emphasize that living in extended family has both advantages and disadvantages Although the number of extended family is now falling we cant negate that extended family is a part of our modern life
