At the time of the puritans many of those people believed in a high power and doing the thing In the story The Crucible many characters have the same qualities and characteristics as the time period The crucible has a relationship with the time period because the historical background characters and the conflict and resolutionEngland at the time had small pockets of colonies that were getting established in the new world and discovering that strange new land Many people had the idea that one had to obey the priest and what they command People were afraid of anything they did not know or anything they could not understand They would blame the devil for any unexplainable thing People had the idea that they had to obey the law the bible and anything that fell in that category A problem that presented itself in the story was the use of witchcraft by the young girls in the village Characters in the story strongly reflect on the time period it was based off of Everything in the puritan villages seemed to have revolved around the high power of God Just like the story there are key players that have an impact and play their part as well as real life there would be farmers priest police and others They were considered to be extremist and if you were to violated the laws that they had planted or talked about in their church you became unworthy and deserved to be punished and by punished they meant death In the novel a problem happens witch is when a man stumbles in to the forest and this man is none other the priest off the village and his name is parries as he approaches a fire place considered by the night he see a pot and steam coming out of it and children dancing around and singing and a black women named tituba saying things in her native
