Jay Gatsby is a wealthy man in his mid-thirties who lives in an enormous mansion He likes to show off by throwing huge parties every Saturday at his mansion in a town named West Egg However he was seventeen years old when he changed his name from James Gatz to Jay Gatsby because he didnt want anyone to realize his prevent life being poor He used to be a soldier for World War I and he also fell in love with a wealthy girl named Daisy Fay Daisy was only reason Gatsby became very rich so quickly Gatsby got rich within three years by doing illegal business However Gatsby thought being extremely wealthy was the only way to win Daisy back then they could get marry and live happy forever Jay would always be cheerful polite and positive toward people Even though he is aware that people would tell those rumors such as he had murdered someone before or he is the Neisse of the German ruler Yet he would try to cover that up and prove himself with the truth He loves to have fun but theres a main reason he wanted huge parties It is because he hopes Daisy would find out and shows up to see Jay again after a few years Jay is just a kind of person who wants someone so much that he would go far with parties making money and making plan to go to the city just to win his love of life Gatsby is truly a brilliant and kind man just very miserable that he just needed someone to support himWhy did I choose GatsbyI decided to choose Gatsby because I find myself most interested into toward to Jay Gatsby more than the rest of the characters in this book Anyway you would hear of Gatsby almost all of times he is nearly in the entire story Many people rumored about Gatsby more than other main
