I had planned an interview with one of my good friends Roy Fowler at Cape Fear Tattoo he is the piercer that works at the establishment in Wilmington North Carolina Upon the interview I hoped to gain more knowledge of how someone can cram needles through someone elses tender skin and not throw-up their previously eaten food Ive been to this shop plenty of times before even for some of my very own sets of holes No matter how many times you go to get a new hole put in you the feeling of anxiousness and fear overcomes you every time With forty-five minutes of driving horrible traffic music blaring and a 24 oz Monster Energy drink later my heart felt like it was exploding when I finally parked my car in front of the shopOpening the full glass door with the heavy black metal frame I walked in The walls are painted bright blood red and there is black trim lining the edges I was peering at the paintings hung around the room trying to make my eyeballs soak up everything to describe in my English essay Staring at the room so much I didnt notice Roy sitting to the right on a black leather couch waiting for me I shrieked from cheerfulness and he greeted me with a hug and few shorts words then it was already time to start his shop routineFollow me he said wiggling his finger in the come here motion I felt like a duck walking behind him trying to mimic every one of his footsteps We made our way to the right of the shop walking in front of the black leather couch he was sitting on and around a foosball table we then walked around a short corner and into the piercing room The sink is to the immediate left in the corner boxes of gloves were hung on the adjacent wall with three or four
