Looking at me on paper I seem almost like a pale shade of gray Theres nothing extraordinary prodigious or unforgettable With the intense academic competition these days a girl like me with all regular classes average grades and no stupendous extra curricular activities is sure to equate to gray Though I may seem just average I view myself as exceptional because of my academic transformation The start of my achievement was at the beginning of my junior year Before that point school for me was just a place to be social Schoolwork and studying were never high on my priority list Without a sense of reality I got through the first two years of high school just breezing by not really putting much effort into my academics But by the time the end of sophomore year rolled around reality finally hit me I was about to become a junior I had to actually think about that far away place called college and I realized it wasnt so far away after all Reflecting on my previous two years of high school I was struck with the fear of having an unsuccessful future I have always known that I had the potential to be a great student but I guess I was just too lazy to put that potential into action My little epiphany made me realize my desire to achieve what I know Im capable of and I wasnt about to let my past two years of slacking off stop me from doing so The start of junior year marked a major turning point in not only my academic career but in my self-satisfaction as well School was no joke to me anymore I was determined to get the grades I deserved Night after night I spent hour after hour in my bedroom writing notes until my hand cramped practicing math problems until I could solve each one perfectly typing paper after paper until each was
