The media love to fabricate celebrity news they twist quotes out of context This is done by making up a plausible rumour about some celebrity The rumours often include the celebrity having an affair or involved in shady doings The media then would attempt to interview the celebrity misleading a story Celebrities are people who have gained recognition and attracts the attention of the news media Celebrities influence amongst youths are very high making them instant role models Because celebrities are seen as role models they are expected to behave in a certain manner and if they dont the media will be all over them The media loves writing scandalous stories about which celebrities is sleeping around and which one has drug problemsThe media treat celebrities like a commodity taking advantage of them to raise the value of the news Celebrities news often ranks above any other news be-that political news or sports news In October 2007 people-pressorg did a survey to find out how many Americans knew what was currently going on in the news 40 said something related to entertainment and celebrities but only 12 knew about the Iraq war This shows that if a media company have a story that contains a celebrity within it that story is more likely to sell Some celebrities who earn their fame are very humble and try to stay out of the limelight so some media companies try to get dirt on them They force them self upon the celebs trying to get the next big scoop but sometimes media companies forget that celebs are people too Alec Baldwin was fired from his new Tv talk show because of a homophobic slur he said to a cameraman according to The Sunday Morning Herald November 27 2013 The channel suspended Baldwin after he verbally attacked a photographer with a homophobic slur The photographer was attempting to get a photograph of Baldwin
