April 212013 fans litter the streets of Bricktown in downtown OklahomaCity A crowd of around thirty thousand people were packed around thetwenty thousand seat Chesapeake Energy Arena for the pre-game party forgame one of the Oklahoma City Thunders first round playoff game versethe Houston Rockets I attend the game with four of my friends WalkerLevi Garrett and Kyle My parents bought me my ticket for mygraduation present This small piece of paper turned out to be the bestpresent of my young life I was about to graduate from the school I hadattended for the last thirteen years The people I grew up with wereleaving possibly to never return to my life And top it off my brotherwhom I had shared a room with for the last seventeen years was about toget married and move two hours away from me The day I watched theOklahoma City Thunder playoff game provided a useful distraction fromthe worries of my lifeThe streets outside of Chesapeake Energy Arena may have seemed like aparty but all the games and events had very long lines So my friendsand I decided to walk around the arena and throw around the pocket diska clothe frisbee As we turned a corner around the building Garrett saidHey Look at that homeless guy I wonder what he did there was ahomeless man talking to two policemen We decided to hang around for awhile to see what he had done he kept yelling I didnt doanything and we heard one of the police officers say I know butyou cant be here My friends and I were talking and figured he hadnot really done anything wrong they just did not want him thereEveryone was there to partake in the free fun and to support theThunder The man did not seem dangerous or wild he just looked like anyother man there just with a crappy jacket instead of a Thunder shirt onIt was a bit sickening to me that they
