In this society we are around so much bacteria we never really see how bacteria can effect our body today we get to learn about a disease known as MRSA it is a Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus AureusThis type of disease is a bacterium that is resistant to antibiotics such as methicillin oxacillin penicillin and amoxicillin The staphylococcal infection including MRSA are often described as community-acquiredassociated or healthcare associated Healthcare associated staphylococcal infections including MRSA the infection occurs most frequently among people in hospitals and healthcare facilities such as nursing homes and dialysis centers who have weakened immune systems MRSA in healthcare settings commonly causes serious and potentially life-threatening infections such as blood-stream infectionsMethicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus it is also often to begin as a painful skin boil Its spread by skin to skin contact At risk populations include groups such as high school wrestlers child care workers and people who live in crowded conditions and also people who have been in the militaryIt is normal for healthy people to have staph on their skinMany of us do Most of the time it does not cause an infection or any symptoms This is called colonization or being colonized Someone who is colonized with Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus can spread it to other people The symptomes this infection depend on the area on where it has been infected sign of a staph skin infection is a red swollen and painful area on the skin Pus or other fluids may drain from this area It may look like a boil These symptoms are more likely to occur if the skin has been cut or rubbed because this gives the infectious germ a way to get in Symptoms are also more likely in areas where there is more body hair due to hair folliclesThis disease can cause many other symptoms not just a red swollen painfulness area on the skin or as some people like to confuse it
