The Bishop Museum located in Kapalama Oahu is Hawaiis biggest most modernized museum that contains millions of artifacts with years of historical information to educate its viewers The Bishop Museum is known around the world for its collections and studies in Hawaiian and Polynesian cultures The Hawaiian Hall was founded in 1889 by Charles Reed Bishop who dedicated it in honor of his late wife Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop the last known descendant of the Kamehameha lineage Does the cultural history and artifacts housed in the Hawaiian Hall educate viewers locally and from abroad about our Hawaiian HeritageExteriorInterior Of The Entrance Of The Bishop MuseumIts been years since I have visited Bishop Museum and I was eager to view the newly renovated Hawaiian Hall Upon my arrival to the Museum I noticed the parking lot didnt change and the overflow of cars were already beginning to park on the grassy lawn As I walked through the lobby of the museum I noticed that the entrance was filled with an array of collectibles I had to inquire on the location of the entry desk to pay for my admission Once directed I paid my fee and walked towards the Hawaiian Hall The Victorian stone building that housed the Hawaiian Hall was still the same on the exterior and there were white tents all over the place on the lawns outside the various structures The trees and plants surrounding the Hawaiian Hall seemed to have grown through the years As I came to the entry of the Hawaii Hall I noticed the sign saying Hawaiian Polynesian Hall and there were two double glass door entries two on the left and two on the right of the entrance So I entered through the right side into the Atrium Lobby My first impression was Wow It was so elegant there were koa stair cases running down the center of the room and their was volunteers standing
