Gerry Garibaldis argument that the cause of boys failure in the classroom is due to the feminization of the classroom is another way to attack feminism While it is true that there are problems in the education system these issues are not based on the fact that more girls are in the classroom In fact the in the system hinder both sexes learning The problems of the educational system as well as the quick and unnecessary diagnoses of behavioral are due to greater issues in society not to feminism In his argument Garibaldi defines feminization as a phenomenon that has changed the classroom to facilitate cooperative learning and inclusiveness requiring students to be more obedient and unquestioning of the learning material pg442 Garibaldi claims that the change in the classroom is harmful to boys because they are aggressive and rational therefore they are unable to be obedient and must challenge and question the instruction and the instructor He states that the feminization of the classroom is tailored to facilitate girls learning style because girls compliant nature As a result boys good-natured need for confronting and inquiring in the classroom has led to their being labeled with unwarranted behavioral disorders The problems that exist Garibaldi observes in the school system are real but the examples he uses to support his ideas are not real The instructors prefer the students to be obedient as a way to control students Feminism is not part of this system girls are obedient its because we were born and raised to be this way As little girls we were taught to submit to everything Gary doesnt understand well the difference boys and girls are born to be and the way they are raised In his article Garibaldi stated that men are more likely ask a lot of question its not true they prepare and encourage them to be that way Children of both sexes were born to be
