Buddhism is complex not only as a relgion but a way of life Buddhists will spend their whole lives searching for a goal the attainment of nirvana To reach this goal a buddhist must devote his life to Dharma the teachings of Buddha and give up his possesions for they have no permanent identity This concept of no personal identity is called no-self Wisdom is a deep understanding of no-self and also a large part of Buddhism These two ideas wisdom and no-self come from the Second Noble Truth which is a part of the Four Noble Truths The Four Noble Truths are what a Buddhist must go by and understand The First Noble Truth is the truth of suffering the Second Noble Truth is the origin of suffering the Third Noble Truth is the truth of the cessation of suffering and the Fourth Noble Truth is the path that leads to the cessation of suffering The Second Noble Truth the origin of suffering deals with no-self and wisdom The Buddhists think that the origin of suffering is when you hold on to something to long and get attached to it it will eventually go away and bring you pain That is why Buddhists believe in the concept of no-self Wisdom helps Buddhists attain Nirvana Their idea of All is suffering is based upon no-self and that no matter what even when you think you are happy you are actually suffering andor sad To get away from this suffering a Buddhist must devote his life in trying to obtain Nirvana and end the definitive cycle of reincarnation I think that this is a strange
