Thailand is a country that is famous of its Buddhist nation Thailands religion and political point of view have been tight together for more than a decade because a small number of monks participate in various political activities such as coups and different politicians also use religion as an arena to play their view of politics Therefore Buddhism has nothing to do with that the main reason of the instability of Thailand is because the trend of nationalism which possesses supreme power in the minds of the elites and politicians alike and demands peoples sacrificeThailand used to rule by one king for more than six hundreds years However since the democratic revolution in 1932 the politics in Thailand becomes extremely unstable due to the influence of under a constitutional monarchy which means the prime minister s the head of the government while the hereditary monarch is the head of the state Moreover Thailand politics becomes to a place where different factions try to fight with each other and several coups arise from time to time brings the country under the rule of another leader and suffer from the instability for a long time It can also be considered as Thailands most important contribution to comparative debates on military intervention in politics Indeed many scholars have sought to contextualize its relevant Thai-style characteristics for example Nakharin 1990 Supaluck 1994 The typical account of coup politics in Thailand explicates historical conditions while keeping a steady focus on any upheavals of recent memory and on the personalities involved Nicholas Farrelly 2013 p2However the coup culture not only brings political instability for Thailand but it also gives people a chance to ignore the system of their country According to Nether the coup culture which is a change in Thai government is best viewed as an unpattern ad hoc event on changing allegiances and power advents held by various elite groups such as politicians bureaus capitalist business
