In the short film Validation Kurt Kuenne uses camera angle to show the importance of the characters in that scene Kuenne makes the genre very clear to the viewers so they know that this is not only a comedy but also a love story He uses three different types of shots the single head shot the double head shot and the multiple head shot to show the levels of importance of the characters in that sceneThe director shows the significance of the characters by getting a close up shot of one person at a time These individuals are Hugh and Victoria from the department of motor vehicles and the characters that Hugh validates The camera slowly zooms in on the persons head Also notice when the shot is of one person or two people at a time only the persons headface is shown When there are more people in a single shot they show the entire person from head to toe When they show multiple people in a big shot one person is not as important If the head takes up ninety percent of the screen that person is probably really significantAnother camera angle that Kuenne uses is with two heads per shot This camera angle emphasizes the importance of the relation between Hugh and Victoria This type of camera angle is when there are two people facing each other and the camera is behind one of the people and to the side This allows the viewer to see the back of one persons head on one side and the other persons face on the other side This technique is very important because it is used in scenes when Hugh and Victoria are togetherThe director makes it clear to the viewers that when there are multiple head per shot the characters in it are not very important There is a scene at the end of the short film where Hugh finds Victoria taking pictures for
