Castlebridge Company is a British luxury brand characterized by its brown blue and coral plaid and signature raincoat One of Castlebridges unique qualities was that it was entirely designed tailored and manufactured by professionals in the UK It was until recently that CFO Doris Milne announced that the companys manufacturing factory was transferred to lower-cost regions As a result to this change consumers union workers and even the models on the ad campaigns decided to protest against cutting jobs and losing the authenticity of the brand according to the protesters Due to the popular reaction of the consumers and workers Castlebridge was concerned of decreasing the income of the label as well as losing its loyal customers because of lack of liability to its initial ideals and strategies As a solution to this issue I completely agree with Niall Fergusons unraveling idea of not trying to hide the facts of the company to the public First of all educate your incoming and loyal customer as well as the press of the changes of the company and reasons why Starting by stating Kirbys facts Today the most skilled garment workers in China had more in common with the earliest employees of Castlebridge than did any current workforce that could be mustered in Britain Secondly as a result of communicating to its audience Castlebridge should follow the ideas of Apple Designed in California Manufactured in China Moreover I would debate the companys attachment to the made in England label of national identity as some of the headquarters and designers are from every other country in the world but the UK As said by CEO Mary Crane and even when the board brought in a New Yorker as CEO who hired an Italian to make the ads and a Swede to design the flagship store But darn it were still BritishIt is a fast growing and never ending business
