He takes the last puff off of his cigarette and tosses it out of his car window unaware that he has started a chain of extremely powerful and devastating events As the cigarette falls to the ground it is whisked to the side of the road by the air currents created from the speeding car Sparks twist and scatter in the wind as the cigarette comes to rest on a pile of tinder that immediately begins to smolder The smoldering pile of dried leaves twigs and grass emits a smooth stream of silvery white smoke that begins to waft carelessly toward the light blue sky The heat from the embers rapidly spreads to other dried kindling and the smoke becomes thick The fire desperately seeks fuel from which to grow Another car whizzes by creating a strong gust of wind that fans the glowing fragments igniting them into a twinkling flicker of light with incandescent shades of red orange and yellow The flames begin to leap into the air as if they are chasing the meandering wisps of grayish smoke into oblivion Like bees in a field of flowers the flames hop aimlessly from piles of dried leafs to small clumps of parched grass inviting them to become a part of this swiftly growing monster named wild fire The grumbling roar of the fire grows striving toward a menacing crescendo The fire charges the shrubs and under brush with calculated precision and engulfs everything in its path at an alarming rate of speed The fire devours the various tree and plant life with a vengeance The sounds of the trees crackling and popping are surrounded by the ominous roar of the fires awesome power The fire grows as it is continually fed by the wooded expanse at the edge of the forest The fire reaches the larger trees and begins the arduous task of transforming the lush landscape into a barren waste land The flames
