To begin off the main idea behind chapter five is the knowledge of asthma and the explanation why is exists Asthma is a respiratory condition that occurs in the bronchi of the lungs When asthma takes place this effects the lungs to inflame and narrow the airways causing difficulty in breathing I believe chapter five is called Environmental because there are many factors that could impact asthma People have asthma due to what they are allergic to or to their surroundings the possibilities are endless Some popular allergies are pollen peanut milk or dust But like I said people could be allergic to anything No matter what is it the allergy is triggered by the same immunoglobulin-E protein Depending on the person they could have a severe allergic reaction or as simple as a stuffy nose Allergies are also heredity if your parents were allergic to peanuts there would be a possibility that their offspring would also obtain that allergy What I wonder is say the parents are highly allergic to peanuts Would the offspring also be highly allergic or is there a chance the offspring could have a less severe version In chapter five when Armand Trousseau explains how two twin brothers whose asthma was bad in Marseilles but as they left to other places they were completely fine This just clarifies how bad the pollution can be in certain locations I believe that a huge part of pollution is due to the large factories that expose the air with their toxic gases There should be a law or a restriction that prevents companies to pollute the air we breathe Although there is another factor that influences pollution which are the seasons For an example Im actually allergic to pollen and during the summer I wake up with a stuffy nose and runny eyes Its not satisfying but Ive learned to deal with it since thats pretty much all I can do But during
