No The mother yelled at her son as she picked him up and carelessly hurled him onto the old torn coach I told you no eating The child was scared and so skinny you could see his ribs through his torn t-shirt and baggy ripped jeans He was famished he had gone without food for almost a week now The walls in his small poorly lit room were chewed on and he had eaten the paper from the copying machine He had a potbelly stomach and you could tell that he was losing his hair these are signs of starvation This is how hungry he was This is just one case of child neglect there are innumerable cases of child neglect About 12 out of every 1000 kids are victims of child neglect Some cases are way worse than this one and arent nearly as bad but either way child neglect is a dilemma that needs to be solved Unless this problem is solved more and more kids will continue to suffer everyday is an issue that needs to be solved because child neglect can cause depression and self-esteem issues Depression can then cause death Neglect can stimulate depression because as the person who is neglecting the child continues to neglect the child the kid begins to feel unwanted or unloved which plunges them into depression Then the depression might influence them to attempt to commit suicide or cut Both of those canwill cause death Also because they are neglected theyre probably not getting enough food water or right accouterment which can also cause death This is because they dont get the essential nutrients and energy that their body needs so they pass away of starvation Furthermore without the right attire the kid can get sick and since they are not getting enough food and water anyways their body isnt able to fight off the infirmity Most neglected kids also dont get to have
