The reason for childhood obesity starts not only at home but is promoted in schools Junk filled vending machines unhealthy school lunches and the lack exercise all contributes to childhood obesity Having factors of an unhealthy lifestyle at home and school is really affecting the youth Children as young as toddlers can begin to adapt to unhealthy habits It is possible for them to carry their habits on through grade school According to wwwcdcgov childhood obesity has more than doubled in children and tripled in adolescents in the past 30 years The dangers of childhood obesity should be taken very seriously Diabetes Cardiovascular diseases and cancer can all be an effect of an obese child School systems need to stop promoting unhealthy habits for the safety of the children and feed not only their minds positive factors but their bodies as wellFirstly Junk filled vending machines are one of the factors for obesity What child wouldnt want a tempting bag of salty chips Or the irresistible bag of skittles just a button away We should not expect them to know any better because they dont think about their health as kids Their minds are wandering off about other irrelevant events The vending machines have absolutely no healthy choices unless its a nasty choice Now think about your childhood days of course you would pick a Hershey bar over a bag of raisins Right Not only are there bad food choices the beverages are just as horrible The vending machines are filled with coke juice sprite and one measly button for water Its a no brainer that a childs choice of drink would be the wrong one These sugary filled drinks can lead to a crash later on in the day Children need to be packed with nutrition and brain power for the remainder of their school day The only way to get your mind up and flowing is to eat what gives
