As the generations keep on going teachers are forced to come up with more and newer strategies to keep children engaged and challenge them This is particularly frustrating as something that might have worked for years can overnight become obsolete However four key factors in effective communication have remained constant throughout time teachers stories environment and content This is even more apparent in the church where children are not required to listen or engage Schools have the luxury of being an institution that from birth children are ingrained to listen too and participate in Where a school could be severely lacking in one or two of these areas and still get away with learning the Church would be completely hopeless This literary review explores these four categories and their role in effectively communicating to Children the Christian Gospel The importance of each category is examined and the benefits of each inclusion towards being effective in communicating to children specifically 1st through 5th grade This literary review provides examples of each category in use and strategies to implement them in any setting In addition this review provides a historic look at past and present programs that are effectively demonstrating all four categories Children are wonderful little blank slates just waiting to be filled with all the knowledge of their teachers Most people dont know but a child first begins to learn right after birth You can imagine all the senses that have now been turned on once a baby is born I think it would make anyone cry Sounds smells textures positions of alignment and hunger are all immediate Over the next few days a baby will learn the smell of their Mom and Dad from being held They will learn that they do not like to be hungry and how to get their parents attention when they are As they start to grow they seem to absorb knowledge like a sponge At around five
