AbstractEver since movies were created movie posters have been used to help its viewers to understand the genre plot and purpose of the movie and to get them interested Moviegoers expect to see certain details when it comes to different movie genres and their movie poster In childrens comedies like Finding Nemo Up and The Smurfs viewers expect to see an adventurous plot animated characters bright colors an age-appropriate title and script and an overall happy movie This paper will talk about my expectations from childrens comedies and their movie posters along with my results after viewing the three different movie posters and finally my analyzationsIntroductionFor this assignment I have chosen the movie genre childrens comedy because these movies can be viewed by all ages When I think of childrens comedies I expect to see an adventurous plot to grab the viewers attention and to bring them on a journey The movie should be animated to entertain the children and help them to understand what is going on There will typically be a hero and a villain in childrens comedies to add suspense which will help to keep the children interested I think that there should be some sort of lesson being taught throughout the movie to teach its viewers good values Lastly I believe that all childrens comedies should have a happy ending Based on my expectations of childrens comedies I believe that the movie poster should be full of bright colors including blues reds yellows and white The main characters should appear larger on the poster than the other characters and stand out more due to light colors The poster should be animated and appear unrealistic rather than real life humans and animals I believe that the title and script of the movie should be simple and age-appropriate so that the audience can understand what is going on The most important part of a childrens comedy poster is that the characters and background
