It is a serious and chronic medical condition a disorder of the message system in the brain It may start during childhood but shows up in your late teens or 20s It is a disorder that never goes away but can be managed with proper medical care Schizophrenia is most likely a result of genetic factors that trigger complex changes in the brains chemistry and structure The patients that are suffering from this disorder experience symptoms such as delusions hallucinations disorganized thoughts loss of normal function depression and many others Most of these symptoms were seen in the movie A Beautiful Mind while they were rarely seen in Proof Therefore the symptoms of Schizophrenic behavior are best represented in the movie A Beautiful Mind than the less informative movie Proof because of the movie plot scene directing and the different settingsFirstly the plot of the movie A Beautiful Mind presents its effectiveness at demonstrating various concepts related to Schizophrenia in a much superior manner than the movie Proof Nash suffered from Schizophrenia almost all his life after he reached the age of 30 The term Schizophrenia means split mind Those who have it seem to have a normal function in some areas and very disturbed in others HubPages Nash had great mathematical abilities which led him to achieving the Nobel Prize but he also had his bizarre side which was with him and his delusions There are many different kinds of symptoms shown in A Beautiful Mind such as compelling delusions decreased pleasure and lastly disorganized thoughts and behaviors Johns mind created these delusions when he felt needy Charles was an imaginary friend that Nashs mind had created because he had no friends at Princeton Nash first met Charles at the library Charles first words to Nash were Youve been in here for two days Ron Howard A Beautiful Mind This proves that Nashs mind created Charles because he was lonely and in need of
