In life many teens like myself tend to consider our lives to be easier than our grandparents when they were our age truth be told I believe both of the two generation are hard Our grandparents faced many things in their life if we were ever able to be put into their shoes we wouldnt be able to take on such things Having faced the lack of education freedom and of all horrible things slaverysegregation was the hardest of them all On the other hand you have things that we face in our generation every single day We deal with the ability to not be able to express our sexual preference because of violence we deal with your everyday stereotypes racism and once we make a mistake were not always able to redeem our self cause were consistently reminded of our past When comparing two generations theres always going to be negative and positive aspect to it so make sure you listen to both sides It has been stated that our generation Generation Y is selfish and we only care about materialistic things and truth be told that has no truth to it Its always intriguing to gather around and listen to your grandparents stories about how things were when they were our age and to hear all the horrifying stories about then suffering Sometimes we tend not to take advantage of all the opportunities that we have in this country and sometimes we utilize every opportunity I can honestly say that if were still stuck in the ages of when we didnt have the ability to further our education I dont know where I would possibly be Back when my grandparents were my age they couldnt even think about going to college not only because they couldnt afford it but because it wasnt acceptable for an African American to do such things The fact that there were so many young people my age
