This paper will discuss the many differences between Medea and Myrrha This paper will focus on how Medea and Myrrha face difficult decisions regarding their emotions These two women must decide if they should give into their emotions or continue to fight for the greater good I would first like to talk about Medea Medea was a woman who was very strong-willed wise and determined There wasnt anyone that could stop her from getting what she wanted even if it meant killing her loved ones Medea was madly in love with Jason and went to great lengths to prove her love to him However this seemed to be of no importance to him once they move to Corinth Her fairytale of living happily ever after seemed to come crashing down unexpectedly and as a result sent Medea into a rageNow when it comes to Myrrha Her emotions are quite different from Medeas Myrrha was a princess whom could have any man she wanted but fell madly in love with her father Myrrha was so unfocused and for some reason could not get thought of being with her father out of her mind She slept many nights lusting for her father and even when she tried to break her thoughts of him to no avail she failed Myrrhas feelings started to takeover and she could eventually no longer control themWhen it comes to Myrrha and Medea there are some similarities I see in both these women First they both seem to have emotional issues they cannot control Second they both face harsh consequences as a result of their actions Lastly they both seem to have issues with the most important men in their lives Myrrhas issue deals with her father whom she cannot have but still seems to possess these strong feelings of lust for him Myrrha felt that she could no longer live her life infatuating over her father so she attempted to end her
