How can we seek the Good Life These days people are trying to findand define the Good Life We can realize it by visiting bookstores orsearching websites There are tons of books articles and lecturesabout the Good Life I have learned about the Good Life in my humanityclass either There are two resources about the Good Life and I wouldlike to discuss the similarities in them The Harvard Guide to Happinessand On Being Wrong There are three clear similarities in thesereadings such as seeking good life finding good life in reality andhaving positive view of life First of all it is certain that those two resources are seeking theGood Life The Harvard Guide to happiness is seeking it within academiclife Specifically it says how to find the Good Life in studentsacademic lives For example it suggests that studying in groupskeeping close relationship with faculties or getting involvement invarious activities in school Otherwise in the On Being Wrong alecturer seeks better lives by realizing mistakes positivelySecond of all they are both figuring out the Good Life in the realitySome people may seek it in religions However both resources aresearching it in our real lives The article guides us to successful realacademic lives The video mentions that mistakes which are occurredeverywhere in lives For example we can make mistakes during drivingstudying and discussing Therefore they are directly related to ourreal lives The Harvard Guide to Happiness discusses the Good Life inacademic lives and the On Being Wrong finds the Good Life in our normallives Last of all both resources are sharing one hypothesis which is that weneed to have positive status toward our lives rather than negative Forexample the Harvard Guide to Happiness says that students have to bemore active by participating in various activities meeting facultiesfrequently and learning other languages and they are leading studentsto successful academic lives Otherwise the video strongly suggests usthat we dont need to have fears on being wrong and
