Since men and women and existed on Earth there has always been a struggle for men and women to talk to each other effectively Men and women are wired differently therefore it makes sense that words and actions are lost in translation Men usually have the identity as strong manly tough unemotional and clueless while woman are seen as nurturing loving overdramatic talkative and needy Each gender no matter the age will truly never understand the opposite sex and each motive and action each other does These problems have been spoken of through a countless amount of songs but especially in Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran and Things Ill Never Say by Avril Lavigne Each artist uses imagery repetition and diction in their lyrics to describe how they feel towards the one person they love Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran and Things Ill Never Say by Avril Lavigne describe a mans perspective on a romantic relationship versus that of a woman while both struggling to describe their feelings toward each other face to face By using imagery the artist shows his audience his view on the relationship while still having trouble telling the other person how he truly feels In the song Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran Sheeran automatically starts off by saying Give me love like her Cause lately Ive been waking up alone Pain splattered teardrops on my shirt Told you Id let them go CITE In the song all he wants is to be loved He clearly portrays the torture he is experiencing to his audience when he says Pain splattered teardrops on my shirt He is so in love that he is in agony crying himself to where tears soak his shirt Furthermore he tells this her that he would let them go but he clearly cannot making the scenario a powerful form of unrequited love Next in the song he says Maybe tonight Ill
