The idea of work can be summed up as hard work that is back breakinglabor with with the certain materials needed to get the job done TheOffice and Nickel and Dimed both show that the worker needs certainmaterials to get the job finished In The Office the purpose of theepisode was to show the audience what it would take some people to getthe materials they need or want to get there job finished and will dowhat ever it takes to be able to achieve it The same was with Nickeland Dimed it showed that without having the materials they need theywould not be able to get the job finished In The Office Oscar found extra money in the companies budget wherethey need to spend it within the next week or it will not be spent JimOscar and Pam go out of there way to try to persuade Michael to choosewhat they want from getting new chairs or a new copier in which thecompany needs With Nickel and Dimed the speaker had to go throughtraining to be a maid and they had so many houses to complete with-in aday to where they had to clean so many rooms within so many hours InBoth of the situations they were trying to accomplish what they needwhether it be trying to convince the boss that the other guys opinion isless important where as you are still trying to achieve a goal as quickas possible with in a certain amount of time The difference between TheOffice and Nickel and Dimed is that one is trying to impress there bossso they can get a benefit of what they want where as one is trying towork as fast as they can to get a job accomplished so they will not getfiredThere are many differences and similarities but in the end both TheOffice and Nickel and Dimed are trying to accomplish a task That taskis to go and get a job
